Apologies for the delay in posting events this week! We will be running the same two sessions as we have in previous weeks. 

A lot of rain has fallen so we’re keeping a close eye on the river levels. 

Morning session will run 10 – 12pm and afternoon session 12 – 2pm.
This should also allow time to grab a bite from the cafe 😁😁.

Our online booking system is now fully up and running allowing you to book your place and pay on line if requiring equipment.

Saturday 25th July – River session on River Calder.
This week we will look to run 2 sessions as last week was a little hectic.

We will run our Saturday session on the River Calder again the coming Saturday.

You can book your place for the session as well as pay on line if you need to borrow any kit etc.

We will also set up a Facebook Group with paddlers who are coming along so we can update you if needed.

We will run another session tomorrow Saturday 11th July. Unfortunatley after all the rain this week the rivers will be too high so we will have to paddle on the canal. We will check later this evening where is the best place to meet and will update early tomorrow on Facebook.

We are just trialling our new booking system this week so please register for our session tomorrow if you plan to come along – you can also pay online or pay by card tomorrow. Please give this a try as it will enable us to manage the sessions better.

We will also set up a Facebook Group with paddlers who are coming along tomorrow so we can update you if needed. Some have asked for a Whatsapp Group also so we can look at setting this up as well.

We are now able to begin to run some form of club sessions but only on rivers at the moment and not on Pugneys for now.
We are looking to run a trip on the Calder this Saturday, I’m thinking to start at The Horbury Junction car park and paddle down towards Pugneys, past the now very small rapids and then onto the canal, paddle back up the canal and then back onto the river and back up to the car park.
The trip will be limited in numbers dependant on the number of coaches etc. and at this moment will only be open to club members with their own kit. There could be a possibility for me to collect a couple of boats etc. but this will be very limited.
There will be extra consent forms etc. to be completed due to the Covid situation and social distancing will apply throughout the trip.
The trip will be suitable for almost all paddlers but please do not just turn up – you must book to attend. I am thinking to meet around 10am in the car park but full details will be sent to all who are attending.
