This trip will be suitable for most, but please note this trip will not be run by Club Coaches, but will be run by suitably competent people to run this level of river and experience of leading trips on this level / type of water.

There is the chance that we may be able to take a small number of club boats if people require these, you will need to arrange to meet us at a suitable time to select a boat and appropriate paddling kit and paddle.  You will need to transport the kit and paddle.

For full day river trips (Sunday trips), you should bring along some food in a watertight container, as well as either a hot drink in a thermos flask or water/juice in a plastic bottle. These can be stored in the back of your boat.

If you need to take any medication with you on the river, then ideally this should be attached to you too. A dry bag will fit items like inhalers or pills nicely.  Any larger items will need to go in a waterproof bag/box in your boat. You may wish to give your medication to your trip leader to look after, and remember,  your towel and a change clothes to change into afterwards!

If you are bringing your own boat please ensure it is buoyancy/air bags installed.

Batley and Pugneys Sessions 23/24th September Cancelled

Just a quick note to say that the Friday night Batley session on the 23rd September has been cancelled, as well as the Saturday Pugneys session on 24th September, the closures are due to our annual slalom event over this weekend and most members being at the event helping to setup and run the event.

Again could we ask as many members as possible to come along to our event and lend a hand, the event takes a massive amount of organising as well as running over the weekend. Any little help will be appreciated, we need general help as well as competent on and off water safety cover and several bodies to help organise the paddlers at the start of the course to ensure we keep to the running schedule

If you have a few hours or a full day to spare PLEASE come along and help, there will be camping places available from Friday evening for any club members who are helping out but please let us know how you can help and when as well as if you require camping by contacting Mark  Wilbond HERE

Pugney’s 10th September

Unfortunately it looks like we will have to cancel the Pugneys session again this week  Saturday 10th August. This is due to the lake still being closed to ALL water sports users due to toxic algae growth.
We will look to have a river paddle on the Calder again instead.

If anybody is interested in joining us please email  me  HERE or send a message via Facebook.

On a more positive note Batley pool sessions will resume on Friday 9th September.

Pugneys 27th August

Hi All

Unfortunately it looks like we will have to cancel the Pugneys session again this week  Saturday 27th August. This is due to Pugneys closing the lake to ALL water sports users due to toxic algae growth.
We will look to have a bit of a river session instead if there is enough interest.

If anybody is interested in joining us please email  me  HERE or send a message via Facebook.

Sorry once again for this but it is out of our control, the lake is due to open again 2nd September so hopefully normal sessions will resume after this week.
